1. Christ Church Meadow

2. Oxford University Parks
The Oxford University Parks are made up of roughly 70 acres of parkland, consisting of sports fields and stunning riverside landscaped areas. You may also hear this parkland referred to as University Parks, Uni Parks, or simply The Parks. There are a number of interesting things to see in the area, including the cricket pavilion, the Rainbow Bridge, and a beautiful duck pond. 3. South Park
South Park is in the area of St. Clements to the East of the City Centre. Stroll down the High Street, over Magdalen Bridge, and past the pubs and restaurants of St. Clements street. South Park itself runs up Headington Hill, and offers some incredible views of the city landscape. No matter what time of year you take the gradual incline up to the top of South Park, you will be greeted with an amazing view. In the Summer this setting is idyllic and when the snow falls in Winter the view is even better!

4. Harcourt Arboretum
Harcourt Aboretum boasts the best collection of trees in the whole of Oxfordshire, including the oldest redwoods in Britain. Although this area is a short drive outside of Oxford City Centre, it’s well worth the trip to see the stunning meadows and bluebell-covered woodland. It has a fascinating history, having been first created by William Sawrey Gilpin in 1835 and expanded after Oxford University bought the land after World War Two.
This is an ideal space in which to escape from the hustle and bustle and listen to the birds sing!
5. Port Meadow
Port Meadow is a huge area of common land next to the River Thames, North-West of Oxford City Centre. It is an historical area for grazing cattle and horses, and has never been cultivated or ploughed. This area is popular among people who fancy a dip in the river during hot weather, and you can enjoy your picnic next to this particularly lovely stretch of the Thames year-round.
